Minecraft Weekly: Minecon and More! Comments Off
So today was the big day! Minecon is finally here! Minecraft fans all over the world have been eagerly waiting for today, and for the big release of Minecraft 1.0.

We got to meet the whole Mojang team, and see the faces behind the pixles. The biggest moment was when Notch himself walked out. The man that made the game millions of people fell in love with. He talked a bit about Mojang’s history and where they’re headed. But the moment everyone was waiting for was the official release of Minecraft 1.0. And that moment came with the flip of a switch.
There was a lot of other awesome things to see around the Minecon arena.

Server-side news!
Well guys, we’ve been through a lot. The loss of maps and the making of friends. But we’re always moving forward! We upgraded the server to 1.0 already, and got what we hope will be our last map for a while. Once mods get updated and settled, we will be bringing over a select few projects from our previous maps and finding new homes for them. If you’d like something saved, please let us know. Also keep in mind, we won’t be bringing over every city or castle. The point will now be to move on as a community, working together to build new and wonderful things.
As a welcome home party, we’ll be having one of our epic Boom Nights sometime next week. More details later. Hope to see you guys in-game!
